Expounding on the tweet I posted earlier, this is what a second-place Microsoft competing with better companies looks like. And the results are amazing. Does ‘Natal’ work as well as they’re saying it does? Probably not. But for now let’s assume it does.
This is pretty fucking amazing.
Instead of watching the 800 lb. gorilla talk shit about their competition and release diluted bloatware, they’ve realized a focused, creative idea and built something that I’m genuinely excited to own (no, seriously).
Who’d have known? If you take Microsoft out of the power seat (and give creative license to the right design team) you get to watch a thousand engineers create something wonderful.
