So, for the record, this is why the Dashboard is better off as a UIWebView. The Tumblr platform moves very fast and keeping up with the API just isn’t always possible. But let’s say there was a Dashboard API. It would have taken a month (based on current Apple approval times) before the changes were published. This way, everyone gets new features designed by the guys that make Tumblr. Say what you will about using UIWebViews, but I couldn’t populate a UITableView faster than these pages load and I don’t think my version could look better. And credit where credit’s due: thanks to David, Marco and Jacob. I know you’ve been listening to me bitch about these new iPhone-optimized views for a while now, but it was totally worth it, right? They look fantastic.
