Bloomberg Claims Verizon Wireless Will Offer IPhone in January
Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. mobile-phone company, will start selling Apple Inc.’s iPhone next year, ending AT&T Inc.’s exclusive hold on the smartphone in the U.S., two people familiar with the plans said.
Odd proclamation by a reputable news source. There’s no mention of ‘rumor’ in the article, either. It does seem plausible though. If the exclusivity agreement was struck in 2006, one year before the iPhone shipped, then the dates line up.
