A Notice Wherein I Try Not to Be a Dick but Probably Sound Like One Anyway
Please don’t send me bug reports through ‘Ask a question’. I really hate to be rude but there are very good reasons you shouldn’t do this:
- I have no way of answering you privately. The question feature does not provide me with a direct method of communication with you so my only option is to post our conversation on my blog (which isn’t going to happen).
- While I have no problem helping out it doesn’t allow Tumblr Support to log the issue or give them a chance to help you first. If you’re having trouble using the app or have found a bug, email support. They send me any Tumblr for iPhone issues that they don’t have an immediate answer for.
That said, the link does say ‘ask me anything’ so I have to take some responsibility. What would really be awesome is if Tumblr enhanced the ask feature to include private responses… :]
