Beta testing

(R)emember: developers are human, and you will be speaking ill of their child. It’s one thing to say “your kid has a stain on her shirt”; it’s another to remark that she’s no good at math. It takes tact and a solution-focused approach to broach the latter problem.

Great advice for users who not only beta test advance software, but email/review/blog about software at all.

I know it’s frustrating to encounter bugs and crashes. Trust me. Developers sweat it harder than anyone. Just remember, when you tell someone that something they made sucks that there’s a few people on the other end of the line.
