One of my birthday gifts from Emily.
From the bottle:
What you have here is the holy grail for hopheads. This beer is continually hopped over a 120 minute boil and then dry-hopped every day for a month. Enjoy now or age for a decade or so.

It’s from Pyramid, which is one of my favorite breweries, so it has to be good right?
First impressions: very approachable. It’s like the Bud Light of IPA’s. Straight from the IPA hater:
This is the first IPA I’ve ever had that I didn’t hate.
Well, it’s a start.
Not exceptionally hoppy, though the aftertaste does leave something to be desired.
3.5 out of 5.
I’m at a loss. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. It’s very hearty and rich, but it has an eggnog aftertaste. Seriously.
They also lose points for using Zapfino on the label (see student work).
3 out of 5.
Whoa.
This is really good. Think green apples, honey, rainbows and unicorns. Also, this ale has virtually no aftertaste, which is a feat in itsself.
4.7 out of 5.
There’s not many breweries that make perfect beer, but Rogue may be one of them.
Dead Guy Ale is a malty ale that’s just suttle enough that just about any beer drinker can enjoy it. Very balanced with a slight honey aftertaste.
I give it a 4.5 out of 5.
Special guest reviewer: Brian Herman.
An initial traditional IPA beginning, but finishes with a smokey aftertaste.
I suppose I should start titling these reviews, shouldn’t I?
Anyway, this is another European brewery claiming to have the oldest whatever in the world. Tastes like another old-claimer, Weihenstephaner (I know there’s absolutely no way I spelled that right).
It’s very fragrant and smooth. Next time you’re in the mood for a pint of hefeweizen (thanks purf!), check it out!
4 out of 5 stars.
4 out of 5 doctors recommend it!
Kidding. This is a Pinkers Organic Hefeweizen (unfiltered). It’s very light, crisp, and not at all like a typical hef. In fact, if you blindfolded me and told me this was a hef, I’d call you a liar.
We found a Starbucks with free wifi, so I couldn’t resist posting an on location beer review!
Kalik is the official beer of the Bahamas, apparently.
Very crisp. Almost like a Coors Light, but with actual flavor.
Lovely after a long day of snokeling.
I’ve never had a beer that tasted just like the label said it would.
Punkin Ale is awesome. I highly recommend trying to find some while it’s still around.
I apologize for the terrible picture; it was dark. The bottle says “Golden Monkey”.
Emily says this is Leffe’s twin. Fraternal, not paternal. I have no idea what that means about the beer, but apparently it was good.
Mmmmmm. I wasn’t sure about this on the first sip. Super earthy and rich. Not Guiness rich, but thick, bitter and well balanced.
And yes, that is emily in the background stuffing her face with walnuts.
Brooklyn Lager is extremely good. Full bodied and dragonfly approved.
